The Joys of Motherhood

**WARNING! - This post will have references to baby fudge (as in milk, milk, lemonade - round the corner FUDGE is made) If you are squeamish, please visit http://www.cuteoverload.com/ .

Today was my first day back to work after our little mini at-home vacation. On my way home from work, I was anxious to see my sweet little girl. I had missed her during the day. I came home and found that she had been a good girl today. I was glad of that, since I was afraid she would have been mad and taken it out on grandmumsy. As we were chatting about our days, I picked the precious angel up to give her a big sloppy mommy kiss and she smacked me in the face. It was kinda hard, but she's done worse. A few minutes later....POW! She smacks me again....MUCH harder. Grrr. Grandmumsy surmised that she was mad at me for leaving her today. Sorry, but somebody's got to bring home the bacon, kiddo!

After that, she wasn't so much interested in hitting me as she was in running around like a crazy Crack baby. I finally managed to wrangle her into her high chair for supper where she proceeded to dump her raspberry/blueberry flavored applesauce in her hair. BATH TIME!

Nowadays, bath time consists of me attempting to keep her butt on the bottom of the tub and keeping her from pulling the stopper out (which she broke a couple of months ago with her brute baby strength). I also like to try and get a little soap and water on all her parts. After finally getting her all soaped up and rinsed, she looks at me and says 'Uh Uh Uh' (which means Uh-oh)and laughs. That's right...we had unexpected company in the tub. In that instant, I panicked. I wanted to run screaming from the bathroom, but I grabbed the kid and pulled her out of the tub just before 'the sharks' got her.

One of the couples that we went to China with had a floater one of their first few days with their daughter. They told us all about it and we all laughed. They even video taped it! Isn't that cute??? NO. Poop in the tub is NOT cute. It is terrifying. Like clowns and Kevin Costner films.

And as a perfect ending to a perfect day, I accidentally purchased Low Sugar Oatmeal and it tastes like what I had to clean out of the tub tonight.

Oh, Wendy, I laughed so hard because I remember days like that. And now that the kids are older, I thought that I was done with "uh-ohs" in the tub - only to find out animals do the same thing! Gross!!!
